BIOGRAPHICAL FEMPATH 2
8. Mar. 2019 Villach AT
On International Women's Day, eight historical figures from Villach, as well as eight women currently living in Villach, told their stories.
In the Biographical Fempath II, eight women shared their stories by leading participants to locations in the city of Villach that are relevant to their life stories. The contributors included a former police officer, a master tailor, a religious educator, an interior designer, an actress, a sports scientist, a job seeker, and two high school students. The themes of their stories contained queerness, ideal beauty, religious diversity, feminist perspectives and sexuality.
The performed paths were offered in German, English, and Austrian Sign Language.
The aim and interest of both interventions in public space are the visualization of marginalized and invisible biographies and to address omissions from a historical perspective, as well as current representations.
