Accessability

For us at show.Rooms, accessibility is more than just a technical criterion. It is an attitude. An invitation to think, feel and help shape. Here you can find out how we implement accessibility on this website - and where we still want to improve.

4. Accessibility: a process

1. How you can use the website
Our website is designed to be accessible to as many people as possible.

That means in concrete terms:
- You can enlarge the font by up to 200% without anything slipping.
- You can operate most of the site using the keyboard.
- You can have the texts read aloud to you. Use the read speaker function
- Select a word and click on the book symbol. This allows you to use the dictionary and have individual terms explained to you.
- Terms highlighted in colour take you directly to our glossary with one click, where we present key terms and concepts in an artistic and understandable way.
- Our texts are written in diversity-conscious language - without discriminatory terms or stereotypical attributions.
- A sign language avatar interprets our guiding principles under the star: e.g. ‘show.Rooms is participatory art and diversity. be come pART.’
- The website is available in German and English.

2. Where we can still grow
We organise accessibility as a process. Not everything works perfectly yet - but we are taking care of it.

Not everything is currently possible:
- We only provide some content in plain language so far.
- Line height and spacing cannot be customised.
- The contrast cannot be changed directly.
- There is currently no direct jump link to the main content.

We are working on removing as many barriers as possible with the available resources - and are constantly learning. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Please get in touch with us.

3. Your feedback will help us
Have you discovered a barrier that we haven't mentioned yet? Do you need content in a different format - e.g. in large print or in plain language?

Then we look forward to hearing from you:
- E-mail: info@schau.raeume.cc
- Phone: +43 6502608195
- Or contact us directly at events.
We endeavour to respond within 5 working days.

4. Accessibility: a process
This statement was last updated on 8 April 2025. We regularly review our website - together with experts in our own field, and with an open ear for all those who give us feedback.

Accessibility is an invitation, openness and participation.
