Applied Theater

Applied Theater

Applied Theater, a regular offer for people with and without previous acting experience.

show.Rooms offers a space for people with and without previous acting experience to playfully explore (biographical) stories. Using exercises from theater pedagogy and political education, everyday stories are acted out, offering new perspectives on one’s options for action. The sessions can be attended either casually or continuously, or as training for participation in a show.rooms production.

Applied Theater is led by the show.rooms team, depending on the focus:

Amalia Contarini: Clown Acting, Poor Theater and Emotional Humor
Maria Leeb: Forum Theater/Theater of the Oppressed, Theater Pedagogy
Katrin Ackerl Konstantin: authentic movement, biomechanics, 5 rhythms, 6 Ways of Action
Rosalia Kopeinig: Applied Theater - Theater Techniques as a Means of Social Change
