Fear and Space
11. - 21. Oct. 2017 Klagenfurt AT
In 2017, show.Rooms_regional organized performances, installations and talks on the subject of fear and space in empty business premises, a garage, a practice and the Klagenfurt prison.
As part of the 25th anniversary of Architektur Haus Kärnten, a dialog between architecture and performance was created under the title "Fear and Space".
Which spaces scare us and why? show.Rooms explored this question together with the audience by reflecting on social conditions and architectural intentions through intervention and participation. In short performances, the audience experienced a wide variety of contributions in six vacant spaces. The entire guided tour lasted 1 ½ h. The guides who accompanied them through the evening included an insurance consultant, a hospice attendant, a former prisoner, a stewardess and an architect. They were prepared for their work as guides in biography workshops.
