show.Rooms_global was dedicated to a global dialogue on Flight/ Refugees and was realized in Bangladesh and Austria.

The series of events developed in Bangladesh (Dhakar) on the topic of Rohingya refugees was invited to Austria in December 2020 and shown in an empty gallery in OFF SPACE Kunst.Raum Villach, Karlgasse 8. In 3 rooms, which were visible from the street, the audience experienced excerpts of the curated program by Ebadur Rahman on the topic of Rohingya refugees. The program was enriched by online workshops and online contributions from regional and international guests and organizations and enriched by dialogues about the current discourse and situation of refugees in Austria and Europe.

This show.Rooms_global with the research title “Mapping the Unseen” was funded by the FWF Austrian Science Fund (AR 444-GBL), KWF Carinthian Economic Promotion Fund, Land Carinthia.

Supported and hosted by University Klagenfurt.

Show.Rooms_global is an intervention in a vacancy of a city on a marginalized topic. The invited artists, artist group or scientists determine the topic. Afterwards, the project will be invited to Austria and parts of it will also be presented as an intervention.
