Workshop: Protection Against Violence & Awareness

In the cost-free workshop “Protection Against Violence & Awareness” on May 28, 4:00–8:00 p.m., we will explore together how protection strategies can be effectively implemented, how those affected can be empowered, and how scope for action can be expanded from a power-sensitive, queer-feminist perspective.
Violence is not always visible. It manifests physically, psychologically, digitally, and structurally, and often occurs precisely where spaces are supposed to be safe. Awareness means looking, listening, and taking responsibility, especially in cultural work, where many different people come together.  The workshop is aimed at people from the arts, culture, and community work, with or without prior experience. The workshop is organized in collaboration with IG KiKK, Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, schau.Räume, the GemSe Association, the State of Carinthia, and the Peace Center of the University of Klagenfurt.
