show.Rooms_regional: Queerelen!

23. – 24. November 2015 Villach, AT

Queer is derived from the German word cross, as well as from the English of strange, peculiar, eccentric, homosexual. With Queerelen! a controversy was created that challenges normative structures and shows vacancies in Widmanngasse and Kaiser-Josef-Platz in Villach. In short performances, the audience experienced various contributions in five rooms. Among the guides who accompanied them through the evening, there were people who themselves live a queer way of life.
Rooms:
learn.Room// queer lectures by Beatrice Frasl and Utta Isop,
see.Room// multimedia art by Barbara Rapp and Evelin Stermitz,
hear.Room// sound and listening experiments with Muriel Louveau, unplugged live Clara Luzia and live on air with Radio Agora,
play.Room// queer performance contributions: Leja Jurišić (dance & performance) and ALEGRIA (Forumtheatre),
free.Room// dialog and networking with pro-queer associations (Queer base, türkis-rosa-lila Villach, HOSI).
