We cordially invite you to a series of events that we at schau.Räume will be organising together with UNIKUM/Kulturni centre univerze from 30 January to 10 April under the title BIOGRAPHICAL QUEER and FEM*PATH V in Klagenfurt/Celovec:
Queer and feminist stories of people who live(d) in Klagenfurt will be told and realised as paths and stations in public space. The audience will experience an alternative history of the city within the guided tours, in which the communicative memory of the city is juxtaposed with cultural/collectiv memory and its omissions in relation to representations. Applied Theatre

show.Rooms offers now regular programs for participation: In the so called "play space" you can join us for the Applied Theater at show.Rooms LAB + SAFE SPACE, Draupromenade 6, Villach, from 4 to 7 pm every first and third Friday of the month. More information is available here. Ongoing - next topic with Amalia Contarini and Rosalia Kopeinig is around migration with the focus on understanding and being understood, the next date 19 January. Freak out Tanztraining

The regular offer with the Freak out dance training continues on 24 January, 7 and 21 February and ongoing ever two weeks. The difference and diversity of people and their differentiated understanding of the world, are the best starting points for art that connects us and at the same time can release change potentials of society. The biographical art of Storytelling

There are always biography workshops to deepen the topics on offer. The aim is to tell stories by looking back and recreating one's own experiences and the associations linked to them. The show.Rooms research project -Mapping the Unseen- is part of the digital exhibition of European Council „Free to create – create to be Free“ (-70th anniversary on convention of human rights-). Ita has been selected by an expert team of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport, the Austrian Commission for UNESCO and the Austrian Working Group for Cultural Diversity. „The virtual mapping of Mapping the Unseen“ (2022) is now ONLINE:  https://freetocreate.art/
